Christian Business

If you are a Christian with an entrepreneurial spirit then starting a Christian business is christian-businessfor you!

All too often, Christians find corporate America to be devoid of values such as caring for one another, helping those in need, and mirroring Christ’s love. Thus, many Christians decide to start a Christian business as a result of this experience. Starting a Christian business can be the best way for a Christian to maintain his or her religious beliefs and share them with other people.

To start a Christian business, one will first need a business plan and strategy. A Christian may find it helpful to look for areas in the local community that have a need or demand. For example, if there are few car washes in an area, a Christian may want to start a car wash business. Or, if a local community does not offer a great selection of fine clothing stores for men, then this may be another business to start.

After deciding on a business to start, a Christian will want to advertise its services or products. One great way to do this is in a church bulletin. Other Christians in a church congregation will be delighted to see one of its members start a business. As a result, many members of the church congregation may purchase services or products from the business to support it.

One of the distinguishing features of a Christian business should also be its service to others. A Christian business should take an active role in helping local charities. A business may do this by hosting a gala or fundraising dinner. A business may also want to give out products for free to local pregnancy centers for women or orphanages. Displaying acts of generosity reflects the love that God had in sending his only son to die for all people. Charity work is one of the best ways a Christian business can clearly display its Christian values.

Another way a Christian business can succeed is competing with other business but not to a malicious extent. Many businesses in corporate America have questionable and greedy business practices. When a Christian business competes with other businesses, it should never promote false advertising or other acts intended to directly hurt another business.
